Dear Client, Your rights will depend on whether the alleged oral partition can be proved and what share legally belonged to your late father. If the property is still jointly owned and your father had a legal share in it, you may claim that share as his legal heir. It is advisable to have the title documents and revenue records examined by a local property lawyer, who can advise whether a partition suit or any other legal remedy is appropriate.
