There shall be no false evidence before the court under any conditions as it could itself constitute an offense like perjury. In cases where there has been a settlement in relation to the case under Section 498A IPC, such should be brought out before the court honestly and quashing may be sought in the light of the law. Should there be any pressure on you to provide false evidence in return for settlement, you can refuse the same and bring out the true situation to the notice of your counsel or to the court.
