Dear client,
If your wife has leveled false charges against you earlier, but now she wants to stay peacefully with you, you should seek some legal precautions to ensure your security. First, you should seek a settlement that she has signed, stating that her earlier complaint was due to a misunderstanding and now she has no grievances. The settlement should be signed by both parties and may be notarized.
Second, keep all the records, messages, call recordings, and documents safe. They will come in handy in case any false case is filed again on you. In the Indian Justice Code, BNS, giving false information or a false charge to someone is an offense (Sections 217 and 248). In this context, evidence indeed matters.
Third, you can also put a general diary (GD) entry at your local police station stating you had a dispute earlier but everything is now settled. This will act as your safety record.
Fourth, seek family counseling or mediation: such steps can be taken so that any areas of conflict may be avoided legally and peacefully.
