► Hello - would be grateful for any advice here. Grandfather dies without making a will. My father looked after the property for 50 years and paid all utility bills and taxes. Eventually my father willingly agreed to share the inheritance with his six siblings. A builder was identified by the other 5 siblings and each one negotiated separately with the builder for their worth of the 1/6th share. My father negotiated for two flights whilst some others opted for a flat + shop and yet others opted for cash. There was not a single joint meeting held between the six siblings and the builder. After 11 years one of the siblings son (my cousin) has challenged and filed a plaint as to how we got 2 flats (one in my father's name and one in my name), whereas he has got a flat and a shop as their share. We have never challenged anyone for what they got via their own exchange with the builder. The plaintiff (my cousin) now says that his mother (one of the 1/6th) got less as the builder gave us more. Do they have a case ?
