No recovery agent can in any way threaten, abuse, harass or force the borrower or his family member to pay the loan which is strictly against the RBI Guidelines. The recovery agent can face serious legal consequences for such attempt.
You can file a police complaint against the recovery agent for criminal intimidation and harassment under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita,2023.
You can also file a complaint in the RBI Ombudsman for taking strict action against the recovery agent.
