Dear Client,
Keeping your gold and cutting off contact is Criminal Breach of Trust under Section 316 BNS, and cheating under Section 318 BNS can be added as a secondary charge if there is proof he meant to deceive you from the start. Secondly, file a written police complaint for criminal breach of trust, and ask for a missing person report too, since he has been unreachable for five days. Attach your gold purchase bills, the pledge receipt and bank redemption details, and any messages or call records acknowledging the pledge. If the police delay or call it a civil matter, write to the Superintendent of Police under Section 173(4) BNSS, and then approach the Magistrate under Section 175(3) BNSS.

Dear Client,
Based on your matter, did you made any agreement at the time of giving the gold to your husband's friend ? If yes then it will be easy to recover the gold and proceed the legal path but if not then there will be some technical and legal way out by which you can get back your gold or equivalent compensation or any other relief as permitted by the law of the land.
you also file a written complaint to your local police station regarding that.
Hope this answer helps!
