Alimony

It is possible to ask for alimony. According to Sections 24 (temporary alimony) and 25 (final alimony) of the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955, both genders can make a claim for alimony. If you can prove that your income from farming is not enough to support you and your wife has enough income as an employee of the central government, the court may make her pay you. However, this is not always going to happen, and the court will take various factors into account, including your real level of employment, your level of health, and your money and property.
