Hello,
As because the anscestral property has been partitioned by way of a registered partition deed, the same has now become legally binding (if unchallneged).
So both the father and son have thier shares each.
Now, if the son wants more of his fathers share in his name, he needs to pursue his father to transfer his part of the property in his name by way of gift or such other mode of transfer which makes him the absolute owner of the property presently in the name of the father.

Son's Rights While Father is Alive: A son does not have a birthright in a father's self-acquired property (which the partitioned share is now considered). Therefore, while your father is alive, you generally cannot claim more than the share you already received in the partition.
