► Dear sir My husband is not willing to work and earn money for family . He has left all jobs he finds as he wants to live on my salary. i have a 9 year old daughter and we live on rent. He also keeps on pushing to have another child while he is not paying for school fees , house rent or any other expenses. He is physically fit to work, but under influence of alcohol. I am not able to manage with him anymore. What can i do to let him know that he has to pay ?

Dear Madam,

Protection under Domestic Violence Act, 2005

If he:

Abuses you verbally, mentally, or financially, or

Creates pressure for another child, or

Wastes income on alcohol and neglects family —

You can file a Domestic Violence Complaint before the Magistrate or local Protection Officer.

You can seek:

Monetary relief (maintenance for you & child)

Protection order (restraining harassment)

Residence order (right to stay in shared home / rent support

Hello Mam,

You can file a claim for maintenance for yourself and for the child and after the order of the court, he is duty bound to pay you monthly maintenance. The order will surely be need to put into execution. For more details on how to proceed you can contact me through OLQ.
