Dear Sir, as per your query,
1. Consult a family lawyer in advance. Get clarity on what allegations may be raised and prepare calm, factual responses.
2. Carry only relevant documents — marriage proof, communication records, proof of your conduct (e.g., transactions, photos, call logs). Keep originals safe; carry copies.
3. Take a trusted witness (like a family member or friend) with you for safety — they may not be allowed inside the counselling room, but they can stay outside as support.
CAW Cell cannot force you to sign any paper/document, write anything without your express consent. Do not write anything without consulting an Advocate.

Dear Sir,
After the CAW Cell Proceedings
If no settlement occurs, the complaint may be converted into FIR under Section 498A/406 IPC.
Be ready to apply for anticipatory bail immediately through your lawyer.
Prepare a list of your family members who might be named — bail application can include them too.
You can refuse to write and even you can refuse to join reconciliation proceeding. As such no preparation is required to talk for settlement. Just write the terms and proposals on which you wish to settle.
Hello,
The CAW Cell cannot force you into writing anything. Also, there is no requirement for you to sign anything under duress. Neither can the family members force you. CAW is a pre court mediation process, post which the matter will be heard in court. wherein you can ask your advocate to take the plea that the CAW mediation failed due to duress situations and if mediation is made as per courts order in the presence of an impartial court official, such mediation might succeed.
