► We are Australian citizens & OCI holders currently living in India since 2023. We had a baby boy in 2023 and in 2025 i applied for his citizenship and he became an Australian citizen too. I received his passport in november 2025 and now applied for exit visa from india. Upon applting to FRRO they are penalising my child for overstay and asking about 2.7 lakhs. I want an opinion of what can be done.

File a Detailed Representation to FRRO (Mandatory)
Submit a written representation requesting waiver of penalty and issuance of Exit Permit without fine. If not yielded any positive result then file Writ Petition in High Court.
