Family settlement complying other formalities and registration of the same are best and cost effective. If required consult with detail.
Dear Sir,
For a ₹30 lakh house at Sodepur, minimum probate cost ≈ ₹1.8–2.1 lakh and time ≈ 3–12 months, if uncontested.
How to Reduce Time & Cost (Practical Tips)
File joint consent affidavits
Mention clearly that Will is uncontested
Engage a local probate lawyer at Barasat
Ensure correct valuation (avoid overvaluation)
No need for separate succession certificate.
Documents Required (Prepare in Advance)
Original Registered Will
Death certificate of Mother
Death certificate of Father
Property documents (Deed, Tax receipt)
ID & address proof of Widow Elder Sister (beneficiary)
ID proofs of all siblings
Consent Affidavit / NOC from all brothers & sisters
Family tree affidavit
