Dear client, the address update of your Aadhaar card before the court marriage is not a legal mandate. However, the same is strongly recommended as it is used to serve as an address proof. Therefore, updating then Aadhar card will help you to simplify the legal procedures and aid in a smoother marriage.

Though as such there is no legal requirement for updating adhaar card for getting married but in order to prove your identity, residence etc. the updating is necessary.

Updating your Aadhaar address before a court marriage isn’t mandatory but is strongly recommended. It simplifies the court marriage process, as Aadhaar is commonly used as address proof. If the address on Aadhaar doesn’t match your current residence, alternate documents will be required. Post-marriage, an updated Aadhaar helps in changing your name/address on other official records like passport or PAN. Keeping Aadhaar current ensures smoother legal and administrative processes.

Dear Sir, You do not need to update the address on your Aadhaar just to get married by court marriage—what matters is proof of address for the jurisdiction where you file the marriage (e.g., a rental agreement, utility bill, etc.). In many localities, Aadhaar isn’t even mandatory—other documents suffice
