► I entered into an agreement to sell of my property on 18 September 2025. The sale consideration was of 1.55 Cr. I received Rs. 5.00 Lac by way of RTGS and a post dated cheque dated 20 Oct 2025 for Rs. 50.00 Lacs. The last date for registration of sale deed was fixed for 05 December 2025. On the due date of cheque i.e. 18 September 2025 the purchaser requested not to present the cheque till 15 November. The cheque was presented on 17 November and has been returned as dishonored because of stop payment. What legal remedies do i have? Can I file a criminal complaint of cheating and proceed with Section 138 of NI Act.
