► On year 2023,I consulted a study abroad education consultant for a course in canada. In addition to university fees I was asked to 1.25 lakh as delegate fee.I was given a sworn statement which specified that both university and delegate fee will be refunded if visa is rejected.Unfortunately my visa got rejected and my university fees was refunded withhelding my delegate fee saying that fee is for external agency as after canada rejection i was still seeking admission via them to other countries. For 2 years I sought help from them and got admission to universities in Ireland and Uk but dropped as they course fee for them is affordable for me.Last month I told them I am no longer seeking education abroad as I cannot afford the expenses and refund the delegate fee as my canada visa got rejected. In sworn statement there is no condition for deduction or any other conditions. Its simply mentioned it will refunded if visa is rejected.Today a lawyer representing them called me and said they can only 70,000 as they had expenses for admission to uk and ireland and rest 55000 thousand will be deducted .Does it hold any legal ground?Am i eligible for full refund?
