Dear client as per your query,
First you need to check your appointment letter regarding the terms and conditions mentioned by the school. Most schools deduct a security deposit amount and they mention the terms of refund in the appointment letter itself. If the amount is refundable upon resignation/termination, then the school is legally bound to refund the amount.
Send a formal mail or written request to the school's management requesting refund of the deducted security deposit. Attach a copy of your appointment letter and keep the copy for record. If the school fails to respond within a reasonable time, you may engage an advocate to send a legal notice demanding security refund within a stipulated time (generally 7-15 days' time should be mentioned). If the school does not reply to the legal notice, then you can file a complaint with the Labour department, asking for the security refund as well as compensation.
Keep copies of salary slips, resignation letter, appointment letter and any correspondence with the school.
