► My brother got an email from legaldepartment926@gmail.com stated "kindly pay 4k for making mistakes in online form". He worked for online data entry job where he didn't sign any document where they said no registration fees and other and did for 10 days. What could be best way to deal now as he is not in the place to pay

Hello,

This is a scam

AVOID.

Dear Sir, as per your query,

1. Do not pay anything – it’s a scam; no genuine company charges “penalties” for mistakes.

2. Do not reply or call them – replying confirms your contact is active and invites more threats.

3. Block the email/number – stop further contact immediately.

4. Keep all evidence – save emails, messages, and job details for record.

Dear Sir,

Scammers often:

Offer “online data entry” or “form-filling” jobs with no registration fee.

Later send fake “legal notices” or threats of FIR/court action from fake “legal departments”.

Demand small “penalty” or “settlement” amounts (₹2,000–₹10,000).

Use Gmail or generic addresses (like legaldepartment926@gmail.com) — no real company or law firm uses this.

No genuine company or legal department sends emails like that or collects penalties by Gmail.
