Cyber Crime
► A club in Mohali, posted my photos on their Facebook page without my concern and now when I am continuously telling them to remove my photos posted on their facebook page, they are not picking up my calls, I filed a complaint in police cyber cell and yet did not receive any solution. Since the police is keep on saying that Meta is not responding to them so they are unable to close this with appropriate solution. Now I don’t know what to do next.

Dear Client, as per your query, to deal with this, the case can be escalated by sending a legal notice to the club management through a lawyer on the grounds of violation of privacy under Section 66E of the IT Act, 2000. At the same time, the standard reporting can be bypassed by contacting Meta's Grievance Officer for India. If there is no response from the Mohali Cyber Cell, an application under Section 175(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, can be filed before a Judicial Magistrate to order a formal investigation and filing of an FIR. The case can also be kept track of and escalated through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. I hope this answer is helpful. In case of further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank You.
