I bought this house in 2002. But in 2020 it went for redevelopment. And in 2025 we got the house. If I sell it....is it a case of stcg or ltcg....? If stcg then how to avoid taxes..?

Dear Sir, Under the Income Tax Act, even if the property was redeveloped and a new flat was given in 2025, the holding period is calculated from the original date of acquisition, i.e., 2002. Therefore, since you've held the property for more than 24 months, any sale now in 2025 qualifies as LTCG.
