► Good morning Sir/Madam, My client contest as candidate in sarpanch elections, unfortunately he lost in counting with little difference.he approached returned officer of election,local revenue officer's but they denied his request and declared victory of his opponent.now he want file a petition for Recounting with which Hon'ble Court may give order for Recounting.we already approached Hon'ble High court but they advised us to go to Lower court only. On this base Iam asking you what type of petition I have to file to get relief of my client. Thank you.

File suit for permanent and mandatory injunction.

Dear Sir,

You must file a statutory Election Petition before the jurisdictional Civil Judge / Election Tribunal under the State Panchayat Raj Act seeking recounting of votes — no writ or civil suit is maintainable.
